SUMMARY:Geoscience Colloquium: Marc Hesse
DESCRIPTION:The Geoscience Colloquium is hosted each Friday by the Department of Earth and Environmental Science. \nMarc Hesse\, PhD\, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the Jackson School of Geosciences within the University of Texas at Austin. He has the Dave P. Carlton Centennial Professorship in Geology (Fellow). \nMarc Hesse is a computational geoscientist interested in the dynamics of porous media in geological and environmental processes. Due to his broad training\, his work bridges both the classical solid-earth sciences and the environmental sciences and energy geosciences. Marc believes that porous media provide a unifying theme across the geosciences and he is actively developing and teaching a range of new and innovative courses on porous media from a geoscience perspective
