Penn Climate Student Cohort
The Penn Climate Student Cohort Program offers a structured, paid opportunity for students to engage directly in climate-focused work across Penn. As part of a collaborative cohort, student assistants contribute to real projects, build interdisciplinary connections, and develop skills that support meaningful climate action across campus.
The Penn Climate Student Cohort Program offers a competitive, paid cohort experience launching in Fall 2026, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students from across the University. Student Assistants support priority areas of Penn Climate’s work while engaging with the Climate Solutions Hub, building skills and connections through a collaborative, interdisciplinary community.
Within the cohort, students take on distinct but complementary roles. Climate Communication Assistants translate research, policy, and campus initiatives into accessible content; Data Assistants provide synthesis, visualization, and analytical support; Research Assistants contribute to faculty-led projects across Penn; and Climate Solutions Hub Research Assistants focus on projects aligned with the Climate Solutions Hub. Throughout the academic year, Assistants participate in monthly convenings, develop deliverables, build relationships with Penn Climate staff and Penn faculty, and share their work in an end-of-year presentation.
Student applications will open on July 6, 2026. Subscribe to our newsletter in the form below and follow us on social media to stay informed about this opportunity.
